Well suited to panel mount applications where you may not have as much room as you'd like beneath the bodywork, this powerlet-type socket has the wires already connected to special low-profile terminals, as well as a rubber spacer to further raise the socket above the surface of the panel—so you can get by with only about an inch of clearance. A right-angle rubber weather boot will keep everyhting clean and dry.For the best connection to your power supply, use a Powerlet T-connector for a dependable quick-disconnect fitting that will allow you to easily remove the body panel for maintenance. Also, for a drilling an accurate hole, we recommend using a step drill, a cone-shaped drill bit with a series of "steps" for drilling progressively larger holes. The end result will be a very clean, factory-installed look.
