Whitehorse is Now Closed

Whitehorse Press and Whitehorse Gear are both closed for business. We retired in 2018.

Since Judy and I founded Whitehorse in 1989, we've published more than a hundred books on motorcycling, many related to motorcycle travel, and our outfitting store has served hundreds of thousands of motorcycling enthusiasts, many of whom are avid motorcycle travelers. In July, 2016, we transferred rights for our most active publishing titles to the Motorbooks division of Quarto Book Group, and we ceased publishing new books. In early 2017 we began phasing out Whitehorse Gear. During the time since then, we have sold all of our inventory.

Our goal has always been to help motorcyclists find the best information and equipment to make their riding more comfortable and fun. We've had a wonderful experience, filled with friendship and adventure stretching from those early days before cell phones and the Internet. And while the essentials of two-wheeled travel have changed very little over the years, enthusiasm for things like dual-sport riding, metric cruisers, and even heated gear has woven its way into the motorcycling mainstream -- and we've greatly enjoyed being a part of it all.

We are grateful for the support and friendship of our authors, customers, suppliers, and employees. There are so many roads to travel, places to explore, and people to meet. Motorcycle travel can change your life, too. If you haven't already done so, we urge you to start your Great Adventures now...

We hope to see you on the road!

JK, DK

Sincerely,

Judy & Dan Kennedy, Owners
