What a gorgeous book this is! Designed in scrapbook style, each spread offers a delicious treat for your eyes and fuel for your spirit. With beautiful photography and chatty writing, you will feel at one with author Chantal Cournoyer and her husband Jean L’Ecuyer, as you travel with them on this adventure of a lifetime.
Leaving their home in Montreal, they headed first to Alaska, then turned south through Central and South America to Ushuaia, Argentina, the “end of the world,” as it’s known. Looping back northward through Argentina and Chile, they flew from Buenos Aires to Miami and continued by motorcycle back to Montreal, returning after 10 months on the road.
To make this trip, Cournoyer and L’Ecuyer left their jobs in Montreal (she in the motorcycle industry; he in engineering), packed for their lengthy trip, and headed out to see the world from behind their handlebars. With humor and wit, they share their tips for trip preparations and stories of some of the common “emergencies” encountered when traveling by motorcycle.
Altogether, this is a delightful story told by a delightful couple, whom you will get to know a bit more with each page. And by the end of the book, you’ll want to climb out of your easy chair, pack your bike, and hit the road.
